Brawl Stars is a multiplayer action game for mobile platforms, presented by Supercell, the creators of Clash of Clans. The game was released on Android and iOS in 2017 and has reached 100 million downloads in 2019.
Gameplay: Insanely Addictive
Though the game is made by Supercell, it has nothing to do with Clash of Clans in terms of gameplay. In Brawl Stars, you have to choose a hero and take part in action battles. There are several game modes available, including survival battles, different modes for 3 vs 3 battles and event modes, changing from time to time. Each hero is unique and has his own abilities, which affect the preferred playstyle. The diversity of game modes, hero upgrade system and the feature of matchmaking with friends have made Brawl Stars an extremely addictive game.
Graphics: Like a Style
The visual part of the Brawl Stars is impressive. The game has adopted the signature style of Clash of Clans: it has the same cartoony look. However, the image is more detailed in Brawl Stars, and there are more visual effects. The abilities of different heroes have unique animations, which makes the game more pleasing to the eye and helps to navigate on the battlefield as well.
Some tricky visual moments are also realized great in Brawl Stars. For example, when you are hiding in the bushes, they become half-transparent for you to understand better what is going on inside. The camera is also working nicely, as it does not get stuck or bugged: you will always see your character and understand the situation.
The design of the user interface is also very attractive. The menus are stylized as comics, and the fonts and health bars look pretty much the same as in Clash of Clans.
Controls: Designed for Mobile
It is usually easy to understand, whether the game was designed for mobile or just ported on Android and iOS from another platform. Brawl Stars was initially a mobile game, no doubt: the controls are smooth and very comfortable. You are able to move your character with your left finger, while the right one is for shooting and using abilities.
Verdict: At Least Try It
The popularity of the game is insane, and there are reasons for it. It is insanely addictive and well-designed. There are a lot of heroes and game modes for you to discover, and playing with friends will make the experience even more pleasing. We definitely recommend at least trying it, even if action games are not your cup of tea.
